Bhaichung Bhutia the Sikkimese Sniper founder of the Hamro Sikkim Party is auctioning 2 of his most valuable assets.
"I have worn the Indian colours for the pride of India, now its time for me to wear the colours of my state and fight for the cause of Clean Sikkim."
"To give clean governance, you need clean money. The least I can do for Sikkim is to auction my valuables to which I have deep emotional attachments. I promise each penny earned out of this auction will go towards the welfare of Sikkimese people."
The jersey he wore for Team India at his Farewell Match against Bayern Munich at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Delhi. Around 35,000 people watched the match at the floodlit Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium when Bhaichung lead team India for the final time. This jersey is closest to his heart since it's the last time he wore the colours of India.
The jersey he wore for United Nations Development Programme's Match Against Poverty, which is signed by International stars like Zico, Figo and others. Playing on the international field was nothing out of the ordinary for the Sikkimese Sniper. But playing the field for a cause with the top players in the world has a special place in Bhaichung's heart. This is his T-shirt signed, sealed and delivered.
